The central part and the capital Prague have the most vacancies with a high supply of pay. In areas such as Pilsen, Karlovy Vary and Liberec, the average salary is the lowest in the country at 36,764 – 37,827 Kč.
§ The minimum wage in the Czech Republic
The minimum wage is regulated by law at a 40-hour work week (8 hours per day) and in 2022 it was 16,200 Kč or 670 euros without the deduction of taxes. Compared to countries like Latvia, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary, the salaries are higher, but of course they cannot be compared with the salaries in Germany, the Netherlands or Scandinavia.
